When and how do I get paid for a referral?
When the referred job closes and the customer pays us, you get paid. Same week, by Zelle or check, whichever you prefer. No points, no gift catalog, no waiting for a quarterly payout. We also text you when your referral books, so you always know where things stand.
How do you track that a referral came from me?
Tell us when you send the referral (the form below takes 30 seconds), or have the customer mention your name. Either works. Every referral is logged with your name attached the day it comes in, and you can ask for your running list any time.
Will you try to take my customer or my trade work?
No, and this is the foundation of the whole program. We do low voltage only: cameras, networking, audio, control and automation wiring. We do not do electrical, plumbing, pools or real estate, and we will never quote work in your trade. Your customer stays your customer; we handle one scope and hand them back impressed with you for the referral.
What kinds of projects are worth referring?
Anyone who mentions cameras, dead Wi-Fi spots, TVs to mount, speakers, smart home devices, a network closet that looks like spaghetti, or a new build or renovation that needs wiring before drywall. If you are not sure it is our scope, send it anyway. If it is not for us, we will say so and you lose nothing.
Do commercial referrals pay the same?
Yes. Same ladder, and commercial jobs tend to land in the higher tiers. An office camera upgrade or a business network build typically pays a referral of $250 to $1,000+.
Is there paperwork or tax stuff?
Almost none. If your referral fees exceed $600 in a calendar year, we issue a 1099 as required by the IRS. That is it. No contracts, no exclusivity, no minimums.
